You
could be losing half your potential sales without knowing
it...
A Princeton Associates survey of over 1,500 web consumers
showed that over half of all buyers identified official
accreditation as important to them. This is not the
same as being listed by directories or pseudo-safe-shopping
schemes.
TrustUK was set up by the Consumers' Association (Which?)
and the Alliance for Electronic Business with the support
of the UK Government and has now become the de facto
regulatory body for the web retailing industry in the
UK.
SafeBuy has the ONLY Code of Practice approved by TrustUK
for all types of web retailer. Furthermore, it is also
supported by the government's UKOnlineforBusiness programme,
the Institute of Directors, the Institute for Direct
Marketing and the partners of the DTI's Safe Shopper
Scheme.
SafeBuy is continuously in touch with numerous third
parties: the Federation of Small Businesses, British
Chambers of Commerce, many trade associations, Business
Link, the OFT, Sunday Times Enterprise Network and many
others to ensure that all their contacts/members are
aware of the SafeBuy/TrustUK scheme.
"We are happy to support SafeBuy/TrustUK
operation to encourage best practice amongst web retailers". Jonathan Cummings, Director of e-Marketing,
Institute of Directors
"Online security extremely important
to us. We know that the SafeBuy/TrustUK accreditation
we have qualified for will help build consumer confidence
in our site. We are delighted to have been accepted
as members of the scheme." Mike Morrison, Director, I Want One Of Those
"Since our SafeBuy accreditation,
brand loyalty has increased and with that a 50% increase
in sales during the last quarter. Quite simply accreditation
is a must if you are to be taken seriously as a legitimate
web retailer." Peter Nuttall, Director, PicStop.
